The ICCI- Perth at the Amunì Festival Agroalimentare

Torrenova - ME, Sicily

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Perth was honoured to be represented by our President, Rob Monzu, at the Amunì Festival Agroalimentare held last weekend in Torrenova (ME), Sicily.

This unique event brought together a carefully selected group of Sicilian agri-food producers and international buyers, creating an outstanding B2B environment to promote the excellence of Sicilian products and foster new commercial partnerships.

Each evening, the streets of Torrenova came alive with vibrant energy — featuring traditional delicacies, local producers, and open-air concerts that drew tens of thousands of visitors. With over 60,000 attendees in a town of just 5,000 residents, the festival was a true celebration of Sicily’s entrepreneurial spirit, cultural richness, and exceptional hospitality.

For our President, whose family originates from Sicily, this was a particularly meaningful visit. From innovative startups to companies exporting to over 20 countries, the event showcased not only high-quality products but also the deep family traditions and multigenerational stories behind each business.

We extend our sincere congratulations to:

  • Mayor Salvatore Castrovinci for his vision and leadership,

  • Dr. Marina Benino for the flawless execution of the event,

  • Dr. Catena Oddo for her invaluable support and outstanding collaboration with our Chamber.

We would also like to thank our Board Member Stefano Casella for identifying this opportunity and ensuring that the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Perth was present at such a significant international platform.

Events like the Amunì Festival reaffirm the strength, resilience, and global potential of Sicily. We are proud to have been part of it and look forward to future collaborations — and to Amunì 2026.
