The Australia-Italy relationship
A Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the EU has the potential to open up a market for Australian goods and services of half a billion people and a GDP of US$17.3 trillion. The EU is Australia’s second largest trading partner, third largest export destination, and second largest services market. The EU was Australia’s largest source of foreign investment in 2017.
Ospitalità Italiana is a seal of certified Italian quality. This seal is recognised by the Italian Government. Created in 1997 to protect consumers and to promote the traditions of Italian agricultural, food products and values of the Italian gastronomic culture.
The network of certified enterprises includes more than 5,000 Italian hotels, restaurants and holiday farms. Overseas, the certification is restricted to restaurants and more than 1000 have been recognised worldwide, eleven of which are in Western Australia.
